2nd of June, Xi’an, the City Managers [people whose job it is to get rid or illegal roadside stalls/food trucks] won’t let a stall owner sell watermelons, so he gifted the entire cart of watermelons to passers by.
My favourite is definitely the poor dude who had urgent appendicitis, was shaking with pain and burning up with a high fever, and the news wrote up this whole heart-warming story about police helping wheel him to the exam location so he could take his tests on time.
I saw some aftermath today, that the police say he was "released safely" and that they totally didn't eat him or anything, so....maybe it all worked out well?
