TangoZ writes in response to the accusations posted about his yesterday, “Hi, everyone, I’m Zhongqi. From when this incident first happened to now, I’ve been very proactively dealing with this case. I’m not releasing all the updates about my attempts at commnication so far.
First of all, the controversial event happened in a restaurant. As to the behaviour that Miss. Du mentioned in her blog, I absolutely deny it. Afterwards, I immediately tried to get in contact with Miss. Du through a mutual friend, but so far, I’ve not gotten any replies.
I’ve communicated with the restaurants to try to get security camera footage, but I’ve been told that there are no cameras inside dining rooms. The security cameras in the entrance can only prove that we came into and left the restaurant. I’ve went to the police station to seek further help, but this case doesn’t fall into the jurisdiction of police.
Aside from that, I feel very ashamed of what I’ve said in the past and the mistakes I’ve made. I believe I’ve paid for what I’ve done already. My fans, my family, my friends, and everyone who’s been silently supporting me have all been harmed by this incident. I’m very sorry for all the inconvenience I’ve brought to everyone with my inappropriate words! I’m sorry.
I feel blessed to be able to perform on stage. When I decided to go into this career, I’ve held very high standards for myself. Ever since I’ve started performing, I’ve watched my words and actions carefully, and did my best to share joy and positive energy with my listeners. From now on, I’m going to reflect on my mistakes in the past and accept my punishment for them, and welcome any criticism or advice from the public. I will have even stricter requirements of myself in the future.
As for my concerts, although my team and I have put a lot of work into preparing for them, right now, I simply cannot perform with my current physical and mental state. Due to my respect for rap as an art form, after much consideration, my team and I have decided to delay our 19th of August concert in Hangzhou, and we’ve opened up refunds for other concerts in other cities. My agency will post more notices as to how things are going to proceed going forward.
Finally, I apologise to all my fans who’ve been supporting me and all my concerned friends.
And I apologise again for the negative influence that’s been caused by this event!”
Comments say, “[Posts screenshots of TangoZ’s record for drunk driving] What about drunk driving? Nothing to say about that?”
“So basically, there’s no evidence, so he’s just trying to brush it off with a shitty apology.”
“I can’t prove anything, but I didn’t do anything wrong, and once this blows over, I’ll go right back to touring. Jesus, men really are all made from the same mold.”
“LMAO. Today, a relative of mine posted a video on her social media. The title was, “Is it really okay to be single your whole life?”
I immediately got interested. I thought it was going to be about how great being single is, so I opened and watched it. And the video content turned out to be, “She didn’t marry when she was young, she enjoyed life for a while, but then her parents passed away and she regretted her decision. She felt super lonely blah blah blah,” and finished off by trying to talk young people into getting married.
It’s so funny. The funniest part is that this relative was known for urging me to get married a lot back in the day. But her marriage is fucking terrible. Her husband beats her all the time.”
Comments say, “This is a social media post from someone trying to talk me into getting married. [Attaches screenshot, which reads, “Forty-something years old. Every day, I open my eyes to my parents getting older, I close my eyes to worried about my children’s education. Life is an ongoing disaster, but I will have to keep living.]”
“You don’t have to talk people into good things.”
“When my dad was looking at other people’s family photos with babies in them, my mom told my dad, “Stop looking. It’ll never happen to you in this lifetime.” Because both me and my sister are steadfastly child free.”
“I’m so torn! Help me check out which top goes with this dress more! The dress is from snidel, but I’m too poor, so I can’t afford the matching top. I can only get a slightly cheaper top to go with it. I’m really torn between option 1, 2, and 3.”
Comments say, “Number one has the most matching colour. All the others have too much of a grey or black shade in them.”
“None of them match.”
“22222!!!”
A tiktok video where a mother hears her baby screaming in the middle of her shower. Once she gets out, she sees the baby laying in bed crying, while daddy was in another room, playing computer games. Internet comments all say that behind every mom with a bad temper, is a dad with no sense of responsibility.
Comments say, “I would literally smash his computer with my fists.”
“If you never marry, you’ll be young forever. If you never give birth, you’ll live forever.” [A parody of a line of poetry in Dream of the Red Chamber.]
“This is what happens after marriage. Girls, you can count on the number of men who are willing to actually seriously do housework and take care of kids after marriage on one hand. There are plenty who treat you like a princess before your marriage, and disappears into the bathroom at every opportunity after marriage. Got it?”
“Guys!! My feels!!! I baked some cake at night, and thought it would cool down enough to apply frosting once I’m done showering. Then when I got back to the kitchen, my dad had spooned away one corner to eat with his late night drink! >: ( I swear my vision seriously went dark for a moment. This was the most perfect cake I’d ever made! My dad always does stuff like this! It’s not like I’m not willing to share with him! But couldn’t he wait until I was done first before he starts eating!?”
Comments say, “If it was me, I would literally start screaming and crying right then and there and flip out at my dad demanding that he make another cake for me. That’s how unstable my emotions are.”
“This isn’t a matter of cake at all. She said she’s willing to share. She just wants some respect. I don’t get all these people trying to take her morality hostage, demanding unlimited tolerance just because nothing bad really happened as a result, thinking she’s making a big deal out of nothing. Do people seriously think OP isn’t even allowed to get mad? Wow, I’m speechless.”
“Cut the edge off the very right and give it to your dad. You can just make a slightly smaller cake, and your dad can have a little bit more cake. It’s win-win.”
A blogger reposts a meme they find absolutely hilarious:
“My Queen, my team has a little bit of experience dealing with monsters.”
“Help—when I first saw this image, I practically shook with laughter. What genius made this? It’s hilarious XD”
There’s a series of comments under the meme, of different cosplays of the cast of Journey to the West playing on their phones:
“My god, Shifu is looking for work for us. Let me text Bajie about this.”
“Lemme send it over to Younger Brother Sha.”
“Upvote.”
“Don’t you guys have a groupchat?”
“I saw it, I saw it.”
“[Shock!] How did they find out!”
“Amazing. There’s actually a photo of every single one of them.”
“I think this was made by the same guy.” [A photoshop of BBC Sherlock holding the protagonist of Nirvana In Fire.]
“Yup, it sure is.”
“Li Shimin: I told you to go west, I didn’t tell you to go that far west!”
Comments say, “Li Shimin: I need to send my Royal Brother a GPS. How did he end up in Westeros?”
”Wow, forget the Night King, even all three dragons put together can’t hold up to Wukong.”
“The original creator’s called 青红造了个白 (blue and red created a white). He has lots of series, even a Marvel one…”
Oh, all of those tops are tragic though. What does the 22222 mean?
